We may not often reflect on the vast variety of relationships that we encounter, and relationships of all kinds can be challenging, as well as rewarding. Strengthening connections in relationships with self and others, and returning a sense of balance and harmony in your life is paramount. We can explore healthier relationships through mindfulness, and being present.
Isolation, fear, depression and anxiety may be some of the most uncomfortable emotions that we experience in our lives. We can begin to identify, and change behaviors, working toward balance and renewed quality of life.
There are a variety of traumas one may experience in life. Substance abuse, and witnessing someone who is struggling with this disorder can have devastating effects. Many individuals experience pain and trauma.
Together we can sort through the confusion, heal the pain, and regain clarity.
Emotional challenges often times runs in parallel with those exploring sexual orientation and gender identity. Negative self-messaging, depression, and internalized homophobia are often present. Substance abuse may be a symptom. There may also be challenges in being supportive of those in the process of coming-out. We can work through these issues in a supportive and validating fashion.
